"Happy 4th of July, Jenny Sweeney"
Buddy says read the book Happy 4th of July, Jenny Sweeney! by Leslie Kimmelman. It's the 4th of July and all over town, people are getting ready. All the preparations lead up to the big parade and a night of bright fireworks. It's a great day to say "Happy Birthday, USA!" Don't forget....read with a Buddy!

"Fourth of July Mice!"
Buddy says read the book Fourth of July Mice! by Bethany Roberts. The mouse family celebrates the 4th of July by participating in a parade, picnicing, and playing baseball. Beautiful bursts of fireworks help to polish off the holiday celebration. Don't forget............read with a Buddy!

Buddy says read (and sing) the book The Star Spangled Banner published by Scholastic. There are great pictures of kids and big people celebrating the land of the free and the home of the brave. Don't forget.............read with a Buddy!

"Corduroy's Fourth of July"
Buddy says read the book Corduroy's Fourth of July by Don Freeman. Today is the Fourth of July, and Corduroy and his friends are having a fun- filled picnic. Follow these friends as they celebrate Independence Day. Corduroy gets to carry the flag in the parade and when it’s dark outside, they all watch fireworks.
