On today's Forum we're listening to a lecture by Ambassador Julie Chang Bloch, an expert on relations between the United States and China, who spoke at South Dakota State University on March 26 as part of a lecture series by the American Academy of Diplomacy and the South Dakota Council on World Affairs. Chang Bloch currently serves as president of the nonprofit group, U.S.-China Trust. She has a master’s degree from Harvard served in the Peace Corps in southeast Asia before working for the United National Food for Peace Program. The first President Bush appointed her ambassador to Nepal - she was the first Asian American to be appointed to an ambassadorship.
