Tax Day Tea Parties, Frankie Avalon

Dakota Midday - 04/14/2009

"On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed representatives from groups on both sides of the political spectrum who are organizing Tax Day ""Tea Parties"" tomorrow, the conservative Northern Hills Patriots and the liberal National War Resistence Coordinating Committee. Then Paul interviewed rock-n-roll Hall of Famer Frankie Avalon whose music became one of the defining sounds of pre-Beatles era rock-n-roll with hits like ""Venus"", ""Gingerbread"" and ""Bobby Sox to Stockings."" Mr. Avalon and his band will be performing in South Dakota this Friday, April 17, in the Brookings Performing Arts Center at South Dakota State University with proceeds directly supporting music scholarships at SDSU.
