Saberi Released, Swine Flu, Political Junkies

Dakota Midday - 05/11/2009

"On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed Margo Melnicove, a friend and colleague of Roxana Saberi, and Katherine McMullen, a journalism professor at Concordia College who was Roxana's journalism professor. They talked about today's release of Saberi from an Iranian prison. Then Paul interviewed state epidemiologist Lon Kightlinger about South Dakota's first confirmed case of swine flu. Then the regional political junkies, Dave Kranz, columnist for the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, and Kevin Woster, longtime reporter, for the Rapid City Journal made their weekly appearance followed by an interview with Beth Castle, Assistant Professor of American Indian Studies at the University of South Dakota, about tonight's final episode of the ""We Shall Remain"" series on Wounded Knee.
