Children's Health, Holocaust Survivor

Dakota Midday - 04/23/2009

"On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed Dr. Eugene Hoyme, Chief Medical Officer of the Sanford Children's Hospital. He spoke about the Sanford Children's/Mayo Clinic Educational Symposium happening this weekend in Sioux Falls and what kind of growth we've seen in South Dakota regarding children's health care. Then Paul interviewed Holocaust survivor Agnes Vertes. She's in the region to be a guest speaker at today's Tolerance Week event in Sioux City. Vertes, a Hungarian born Jew, was forced to change her name and seperate from her parents in order to survive. She will be showing her documentary ""One Out of Ten"" which refers to the one out of every ten European Jewish children who survived the Holocaust."
