Gulf War Syndrome

Dakota Midday - 12/15/2008

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer spoke with Christine Walz, Junior Commander with the Rapid City chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. Walz has struggled with Gulf War Syndrome since her return from combat 17 years ago. A new study that was chartered by Congress has found that Gulf War Syndrome is linked to exposure to nerve gas and chemical pesticides that were used during the conflict. The report contradicts nearly two decades of government denial.
