On today’s Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer explores the topic of a proposed oil refinery to be built in Union County. He first speaks with Preston Phillips, from Dallas, Texas. He is Project Executive for Hyperion Resources which is proposing to build the refinery near Elk Point, South Dakota. In the second half of the show, Paul hears from Ed Cable, a spokesperson for the Save Union County Committee and from Jason Quam, an Elk Point resident. Both are opposed to the proposed refinery.
