Extended Daylight Savings Time

"In an effort to save energy in the US, there is now and extended Daylight Saving Time. Clocks now go ahead one hour on the second Sunday in March, three weeks earlier than the previous American standard. The period now ends on the first Sunday in November. What will that actually do with energy? What will it do to the human body in the short term? And what's going on in Indiana, which at one time had five separate time zones?
