"We often hear of volunteers traveling to third world country to help people who live in desperate poverty. But our own state is also a destination point for these volunteers, missionaries, relief workers. I4s not a title anyone wants but some of South Dakot?s Native American reservations are the poorest in the nation. So what are the challenges to economic development in Native communities? What is working that can be expanded? On South Dakota Forum w?ll explore the role tribal justice systems and traditional practices have in economic development.
