It’s South Dakota Forum with host Paul Guggenheimer. As residents of the James River Valley continue to recover from recent storms and flooding, Governor Mike Rounds has been busy addressing disaster relief efforts. This week, he expressed frustration with FEMA headquarters in Washington saying it was too slow in approving assistance for South Dakotans in need. Governor Rounds joins us to talk about FEMA and more. Are you planning a Memorial Day weekend vacation even with the record high gas prices? Lori falter, an economist with the Energy Information Administration will tell us if there’s any end in sight. And since this weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, we’re talking baseball with former major league and now Sioux Falls Canaries pitcher Pat Mahomes.
