On today’s Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer interviews Jonathan Kaplan, Agriculture Project Director for the Natural Resources Defense Council. He is critical of the lack of funding to protect public health and drinking water and says increased interest in biofuel production also makes the need for stronger conservation programs essential. Also on the program today, Dr. Richard Gowen, former President of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology from the Mount Rushmore Institute’s Middle East Forum. Dr. Gowen is one of the organizers of the event.
