It's a look at some new legislation hitting the books July 1st on today's Forum. Host Gary Ellenbolt will be visiting with State Senator Tom Dempster who wrote legislation that on a new law that makes SD hospitals post the prices of 25 common inpatient procedures. Then in segement two of the show Ellenbolt will visit with Rebecca Wimmer, a Child Protection Supervisor with the state Department of Social Services. She tells us about tougher penalties for parents caught using and abusing meth, and also new laws that expand the definition of domestic violence and why those were expanded. Forum's final guest is George Vandell, with the state Game Fish and Parks Department, to talk about the new prairie dog control plan that will be implemented - what it means for landowners and also the pirairie dog population in the state.
