Projections show this year, identity thieves could run up 50-billion dollars in charges with other people's money. Though South Dakota ranks amongst the lowest in the nation for reported cases, the state legislature has passed a bill that restricts access to certified vital records (death and birth certificates, marriage licesnses, etc...) in the hopes of preventing the roughly 150 cases of identity thefts that do affect the state. Guests include Attorney General Larry Long, Sgt. Bob Thomspon with the Sioux Falls Police Department adn Investigator Gordon Decker form the Pennington County Sherrif's Department.
