There has been an explosion of online pharmacies based out of Canada offering large discounts on common prescriptions, which is estimated to be worth one billion dollars a year. The pharmacies target Americans seeking a break from high prices and they say it is legal to do so. But, state officals say it's illegal and Americans are putting themselves at risk by buying drugs from unlicensed online pharmacies. And the FDA says the high price of drugs in America stems from the cost it takes a company to make and get a medication approved to be safe for the American public. Even so, people in the states would rather enjoy saving anywhere from 50 to 80 percent on the bucks they dough out to treat common alignments such as depression, allergies, and diabetes.
