Health Costs, Credit Card Reforms

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed Mike Allgrunn, assistant professor of economics at the University of South Dakota and Kim Bailey, Senior Health Policy Analyst for Families USA, an agency in Washington, D.C. A report released this week by Families USA, an agency in Washington, D.C. shows 214,000 South Dakotans younger than 65 are in households that will spend more than one-tenth of pretax income on health care in 2009, twice as much as in 2000. Then Paul interviewed Curt Everson, President of the South Dakota Bankers Association. He talked about how credit card reforms will affect the South Dakota banking industry.
