Reese Erlich, Iraq Sovereignty, Prairie Mercury

Dakota Midday - 06/30/2009

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed award winning reporter and author Reese Erlich to the program. He has just returned from covering the Iranian election and has fascinating stories to tell. Then Paul interviewed University of South Dakota Associate Professor of Political Science Tim Schorn about today's withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraqi cities. And finally Paul spoke with Steve Chipps, Associate Professor at South Dakota State University about recent research that shows that prairie lakes that expand greatly during wet cycles are more likely to have elevated mercury levels soon after.
