Holiday Travel Down, Honduran Coup, Kris Regas

Dakota Midday - 07/02/2009

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed Triple A spokesman Mark Madeja to the program. He says fuel prices and economic uncertainty could reduce travel for Independence Day in South Dakota. Then Paul spoke with Mark Weisbrot, Co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research talking about the coup in Honduras. And finally, Paul interviewed Sioux Falls Canaries pitcher Kris Regas who has just been named American Association Pitcher of the Month for June. Regas gave up his job as a Professor of Mathematics at Minnesota State-Mankato to sign with the Detroit Tigers last spring.
