NASA Flight Director, George McGovern, Political Junkies

Dakota Midday - 07/20/2009

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer spent the majority of the program on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. First, Paul welcomed Glynn Lunney, NASA Flight Director during the Apollo 11 moon landing. Then Paul interviewed former South Dakota Senator George McGovern who was in the Senate when the moon landing happened and NASA missions were a funding priority. He also shared memories of the late Walter Cronkite whom he once considered for a possible presidential running mate. And finally, the regional political junkies joined Paul for their regular weekly discussion.
