S.D. Bank Closing, Paddling for Parkinson's, F-22 Pilot

Dakota Midday - 07/22/2009

On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed State Banking Director Roger Novotny to the program. He talks about how and why the South Dakota Revenue Dept. took possession of BANKFIRST, Sioux Falls and placed it under control and management of the FDIC. It's the first time in more than 20 years state officials have shut down a bank. Then Paul spoke with Joe Forrester who has been paddling his kayak down the Missouri for the last month and a half to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease. He just passed through South Dakota and his ultimate destination is New Orleans. And finally, Paul interviewed Air Force Major David Skalicky, pilot and commander of the F-22 Demo Team that's coming to the Sioux Falls air show this Saturday and Sunday.
