Dropping Phys. Ed? and Olympic Champion Billy Mills

Dakota Midday - 09/16/2009

On 9/16/09, 1964 Olympic Gold Medalist Billy Mills talks with Host Paul Guggenheimer about the events leading up to his thrilling 10,000 meter victory and growing up on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Also, as the South Dakota Board of Education considers a proposal revising graduation requirements, the American Heart Association is advising against dropping Phys. Ed and Health. The new proposal would make it optional. Darrin Smith, Senior Director of Advocacy for the American Heart Association in South Dakota joins Paul to discuss the issue with callers.
