Dakota Midday - 10/05/2009

On 10/5/09, David Lillehaug, lead attorney for U.S. Senator Al Franken in the eight month recount and election contest, joins host Paul Guggenheimer. Lillehaug is an Augustana College graduate who is speaking at a joint fundraiser held by the Lincoln & Minnehaha County Democratic parties next week. Then Paul welcomes Regional Political Junkie Kevin Woster, columnist for the Rapid City Journal, to talk about Lt. Governor Dennis Daugaard's official entry into the governor's race and Ag. Secretary Tom Vilsack's visit to South Dakota among other topics. Next, Paul interviews Rev. Art Simon, the founder and president emeritus of Bread for the World. He is speaking at Augustana College in Sioux Falls tonight. And finally, Paul speaks with Kevin Locke, known throughout the world as a Native American hoop dancer and preeminent player of the indigenous Northern Plains flute. Locke won a Native American Music Award for his album "Earth Gift" on Saturday.
