Cheyenne River Storm Relief receives increase in donations, South Dakota Ecologist, new show at the Olde Towne Dinner Theatre, Fischgaard 48-hour Film Festival

Dakota Midday - 02/11/2010

On 2/11/10, host Paul Guggenheimer speaks with Bob Sutton, President of the South Dakota Community Foundation. They've seen a huge increase in donations to the Cheyenne River Reservation after cable talk show host Keith Olbermann criticized Congress for not doing enough to help. Then South Dakota Ecologist Carter Johnson joins Paul to discuss the results of his ongoing research which indicates prairie wetlands and waterfowl are even more vulnerable to climate change than previously reported. His work has made the February cover of the International Journal "BioScience." In the last segment Paul talks with W. James Wood, Artistic Director of the Olde Towne Dinner Theater in Worthing, about the romantic comedy "Almost Maine" that opens tonight. Also, producer, Tom Black talks about this weekend's Fischgaard 48-hour Film Festival in Aberdeen.
