Tom Vilsack, Budget Cuts and Author Laurie Wagner Buyer

On 3/9/10, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack talks with host Paul Guggenheimer about the renewed push for a health care reform bill and what he believes it will mean for rural America.  Vilsack also addresses some concerns about spring flooding.

South Dakota Board of Regents Executive Director Jack Warner talks about how the decline in state-appropriated funding and the potential impact of proposed budget cuts are affecting operations.  Meanwhile, South Dakota Tobacco Free Kids Network Project Director Jennifer Stalley talks about the proposed 2.3 million dollars lawmakers would like to cut from their budget.

Paul Guggenheimer also visits with author Laurie Wagner Buyer who has written "When I Came West."  The book details the author's unconventional move to Montana in the 1970s.
