FRONTLINE Correspondent, Effects of Oil Spills, Rapid City Rush General Manager

Dakota Midday - 05/04/2010

On Today's Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer speaks with Frontline Correspondent Martin Smith, who co wrote tonight's edition entitled "College, Inc." The program focuses on for-profit colleges and universities. This is a $400 billion industry fueled by taxpayer money.

Then, Paul welcomes Jim Heisinger, who is the chapter chair with the Sierra Club of South Dakota. He is also a professor emeritus in biology at the University of South Dakota. He will talk about the long term environmental effects of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

In the last segment, Rapid City Rush General Manager, Tim Hill is on the program to talk about the Rush playing for the Central Hockey League Championship. The game will take place tonight at the Rushmore Civic Center against the Allen Americans.
