Market Plunge and the Regional Political Junkies

Dakota Midday - 05/10/2010

As the investigation continues into the causes of last week's market plunge, Dean Michael Keller of the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota looks at what can be done to slow trading during rapid market swings.  He also comments on figures released by the U.S. Department of Labor showing South Dakota's average hourly wage of $16.53 ranks last in the nation.

Regional Political Junkies Jonathan Ellis of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader and Kevin Woster of the Rapid City Journal talk about developments in the race for Congress as well as Senator John Thune's reaction to Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court.
