Political Junkies, a Trip to Guatemala Plagued by Mother Nature, and Michael Moore's Latest Film

Dakota Midday - 06/28/2010

On today's Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer talks with regional political junkies Jonathan Ellis, Reporter/News Analyst for the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, and Kevin Woster, Columnist and Reporter for the Rapid City Journal. They discuss what went down at the Republican and Democratic state conventions.

Next, Amanda Furness, a student from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, talks about her trip to Guatemala, and how two natural disasters kept postponing her plans to return home.

Finally, the controversial Michael Moore film "Capitalism: A Love Story" is being shown in Rapid City. Paul talks with Don Kelley, promoter of Voices in the Heartland. He claims the film has yet to be shown in South Dakota. The two discuss the film and why they are introducing it to the state.
