Badlands National Park and the fossils of a Saber-Tooth Tiger

Dakota Midday - 07/27/2010

This edition of Dakota Midday originates from the Badlands. Host Paul Guggenheimer talks with Julie Johndreau, education specialist at Badlands National Park. She talks about the ongoing efforts to locate fossils in the park, and the impact of finding the fossilized remains of a saber-tooth tiger.

Next, 7-year-old Kylie Ferguson and her mother Jackie tell what it was like to discover the remains of a pre-historic cat.

Badlands Park Paleontologist Rachel Benton and Matt Weiler, Physical Science Technician, inspect the fossils with Paul.
