"Best Illustrator of the Year," Pete Dexter, and NPR's Deborah Amos

SDPB's Cara Hetland helps celebrate the Festival of Books with this special edition of Dakota Midday.

First, she talks with Peter Brown. He was recently named "Best Illustrator of the Year" by the Children's Choice Book Awards.  

Next, Cara talks with Pete Dexter. He's the author of Spooner and Paper Trails.

And, Deborah Amos talks about covering Iraq for NPR News, as well as her book Eclipse of the Sunnis: Power, Exile, and Upheaval in the Middle East.
