Failure to Reform Banks Costs Democrats, "I am South Dakota," and "Growing Up Indian"

Dakota Midday - 11/09/2010

SDPB's Paul Guggenheimer talks with James K. Galbraith, Lloyd Bentsen chair of the Lyndon Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. Galbraith says Democratic Party losses in the election can be traced to the failure to take over, reform and restructure failed banks and the failure to prosecute bank fraud.

Toby Brusseau discusses his new book "I am South Dakota." It profiles a mountain lion expert, a buffalo rancher, a bee keeper and a pig wrestling doctor among others.

And, Paul talks with Patrick Lalley, managing editor of the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, and Devin Wagner, photographer and multi-media producer of their 8-day series "Growing Up Indian." The series looks at life on the reservations.
