Baseball Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers, Sam Hurst from the Dakota Poll, and Violence Follows Peace Corps

Dakota Midday - 02/15/2011

SDPB's Paul Guggenheimer talks with Baseball Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers. This weekend, he is speaking at the Dakota Wesleyan University baseball banquet in Mitchell. He discusses his colorful career and the trademark mustache.

Sam Hurst is one of the coordinators of the Dakota Poll. He talks about a recent poll showing 73 percent of Tea Party supporters in the state favor a sales tax increase over cuts to education and health care.

Also, Heather Mangan talks about serving in the Peace Corps in Africa. She was in Niger before escalating violence forced her and her co-workers to leave. On her way back to the states she was sent through Morocco, and then Egypt.
