Nationwide Budget Cuts and the 150th Anniversary of the Dakota Territory

Today on Dakota Midday, Paul Guggenheimer talks with James K. Galbraith, Lloyd Bentsen chair in government and business relations at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. He discusses the nationwide trend toward budget cuts at the state and federal level and his assertion that cuts will impede economic recovery.

Also, today is the 150th anniversary of the creation of the Dakota Territory. Jay Vogt is the director of the South Dakota State Historical Society. He talks about the history of the Dakota Territory.
