Dakota Midday - 03/29/2011

Today on Dakota Midday, Steve Janowiak, vice president for Student Development at Briar Cliff University, and Sara Thompson, reference and instruction librarian at Briar Cliff, discuss a new iPad program. The university is providing an iPad to all incoming freshman. They are one of only three colleges in the U.S. offering the opportunity.

Zachary Stauffer is the producer of the "Money and March Madness" segment for tonight's Frontline. He discusses the program. It looks at the $10.8 billion the NCAA is making on the men's college basketball tournament while the players get no pay.

Also, Pierre Riggs High School basketball player Terrelle Walker talks about his amazing half court shot, and how viral it has become on the internet. The video has seen more that 500,000 hits on Youtube. Click this link to see the video.
