Daniel Soluk is an associate professor of biology at the University of South Dakota. He talks about conducting research on the conservation of endangered aquatic organisms and ecosystems.

Sean Youmans is the vice-president of the U.S. Green Building Council Student Group at Western Dakota Tech. He talks about the Earth Day commemoration called "What is sustainability and what does it mean to you."

Also, USDA Rural Development State Director Elsie Meeks discusses Earth Day events being held in West River. She talks about water and environmental funding to the city of Sturgis, and green upgrades to the Custer County Courthouse.
