Today's episode of Dakota Midday is live from the EROS Data Center near Sioux Falls. Scientists have been presenting their research there over the past week.  

Tom Loveland is the senior research scientist with US Geological Survey EROS Center in Sioux Falls. He talks about his 30-year research in the use of remote sensing for land characterization.

Professor of Geography Curtis Woodcock talks about his research which focuses on monitoring environmental change and effects of land use change on terrestrial carbon dynamics.

Jeff Masek is the NASA Landsat Project Scientist. He discusses his research, which includes mapping land cover change in temperate environments, application of advanced computing to remote sensing, and satellite remote sensing techniques.
