Actress Irene Bedard, and Oscar Howe Memorial Lecturer Christina Burke

Native American actress Irene Bedard is best known as the voice of the main character in the Disney animated film Pocahontas. She also starred in the television mini-series "Into the West" and received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Mary Crow Dog in "Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee." She talks about her career, the SD Film Festival, and Native Americans involved in filmmaking.

Christina Burke is this year's Oscar Howe Memorial Lecturer. She is the Curator of Native American and Non-Western Art at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She discusses her lecture entitled "Turning Points: Oscar Howe and Philbrook's ‘Indian Annual'".
