Dakota Midday is live from the Festival of Books in Deadwood. Joe Tlustos hosts the show from Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center in Deadwood. Mary Kopko, with the center, talks about what HARCC has to offer.

Lorna Crozier is a featured poet at the festival. She has published 15 poetry books. Her most recent book is Small Mechanics. She gives insight on her writings, and what it takes to write poetry.

Joseph Marshall III is noted for his books The Journey of Crazy Horse: A Lakota History, The Lakota Way. He talks about his books, and what he learned about Crazy Horse through oral history passed down from generation to generation.

Roger Di Silvestro wrote Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands: A young politician's quest for recovery in the American West. He talks about Roosevelt's life was like in West North Dakota and how that shaped his politics.
