J.R. LaPlante is the South Dakota Secretary of Tribal Relations. He talks about issues relating to the NPR series on Native Americans and foster care in South Dakota.

Seth Tupper, of the Mitchell Daily Republic, and the Rapid City Journal's Kevin Woster tackle this week's Dakota Political Junkie segment. We get their take on the fallout from the NPR series on Native Americans and foster care in South Dakota, Governor Daugaard now seeks tougher standards for the Keystone XL Pipeline and "Three Yards and a Cloud of Political Dust," Seth's column on Rep. Noem and the EPA.

Marquette University History Professor Jim Marten is giving the Schell Lecture Wednesday night at the University of South Dakota. It is entitled "A Generation Set Apart: Union Civil War Veterans and Northern Society." He gives insight on the presentation and discusses the Civil War.
