Burrow on Russia and Erlich on Iran

Dakota Midday - 12/13/2011

University of South Dakota Assistant Professor of History David Burrow discusses the unprecedented protest of alleged ballot-rigging in parliamentary elections that occurred a few days ago and what could happen next.  Burrow's specialty is Russia.  He has led University of South Dakota tours of the country.

Then, author Reese Erlich talks about the situation with the U.S. reconnaissance drone that crashed in Iran last week and what this tells us about U.S. intelligence in relation to Iran.  Erlich has been a foreign correspondent for NPR and the BBC and has written "Conversations With Terrorists" and "The Iran Agenda."
