Keystone XL, The "Connected Car," Lavay Smith and a State Theatre Update

President Obama said yesterday that he is rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline permit.  Transcanada spokesman Shawn Howard joins today's program to talk about the president's decision and what the next step is for the project.  Matt McGovern, an attorney for the National Wildlife Federation, is an opponent of the Keystone XL pipeline.  He also shares his thoughts.

In a pre-recorded interview, SDPB Director of Radio Joe Tlustos visits with Kinsey Wilson, NPR Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media about the "connected car," the next generation of automobile that enables drivers to listen to internet streams as well as AM/FM radio.

SDPB Program Director Susan Hanson speaks with Lavay Smith, vocalist and bandleader of the Red Hot Skillet Lickers, in a pre-recorded interview.  The group will perform Friday night at the Historic Orpheum Theatre in Sioux Falls as part of the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society's 2011-2012 concert series.
