The Dakota Political Junkies are Mitchell Daily Republic Editor Seth Tupper and Rapid City Journal columnist Kevin Woster.  They discuss Stephanie Strong's challenge of her rejected petitions to run against U.S. Representative Kristi Noem in the Republican Primary.  They question, what does Strong's lack of enough apparent valid signatures signal regarding the tea party's dissatisfaction with Noem?  Could 2012 be the defining year for tea party influence in the state?  Also, who are the strongest Democrats running for office this year? 

Brian Turner, a poet, and Dr. Patrick Hicks, Augustana's Writer-in-Residence, join us. Turner is a veteran of the Iraq War and acclaimed poet; he will share his work and reflect on his life experiences during "An Evening with Brian Turner" tonight at 7pm in Kresge Recital Hall.  Turner joined the U.S. army when he was almost 30 years old and served for seven years.  Beginning in November 2003, he was an infantry team leader in Iraq with the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. 

Canon Explorer of Light and internationally renowned fine artist, John Paul Caponigro, is speaking at Black Hills State University tonight at 7pm in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall.  He will discuss cultivating creativity and the creative process, as well as displaying and discussing his work throughout the lecture.  He primarily focuses on the natural world.
