Dakota Midday - 05/03/2012

Fifty-four new sculptures will be unveiled Saturday morning in downtown Sioux Falls for the annual SculptureWalk.  Jim Clark, Director of SculptureWalk, talks about the history of the event and this year's sculptures.

Mike Edwards has been rebuilding a Photoplayer piano for the last six years.  This Friday and Saturday, Edwards will present Buster Keaton and Laurel & Hardy silent films at the Dahl Fine Arts Center in Rapid City accompanied by Dave Calendine from Detroit on the Photoplayer.

The Watoto Children's Choir tour is entitled "Beautiful Africa: A New Generation."  The tour is making stops in South Dakota and Iowa over the next week.  Choir team leader Julius Anuari joins Dakota Midday to talk about the globally acclaimed choir which has travelled internationally since 1994 as ambassadors for the millions of children in Africa orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS, war and poverty.
