This week we're listening to Haley Bonar recorded on September 23rd, 2011 at the Americana Festival in Rapid City. She grew up in the Black Hills and recorded her first album when she was 17. Eleven years later she's a successful musician and songwriter in the Twin Cities with 4-full length albums to her name, a few Minnesota Music awards and inclusion on several "best of" lists. She's got a growing audience across the U.S, too; due in part to her work with fellow musician Andrew Bird. And speaking of growing, Bonar was 8 months pregnant when she gave this performance.
