Dakota Political Junkies, Hot Harley Nights and Trading Tortoise

Jon Hunter, publisher of the Madison Daily Leader, and Seth Tupper, editor of the Mitchell Daily Republic, discuss political news. The junkies discussed the resignation of Pat Powers, the embattled director of operations for the South Dakota Secretary of State's office; former governor Mike Rounds' PAC fund supporting Republican candidates; reactions to the Supreme Court's ruling on the Affordable Care Act; and the 40th anniversary of George McGovern's Presidential nomination at the 1972 Democratic National Convention.

Jim Entenman, owner of J & L Harley-Davidson in Sioux Falls, and Char Roth, C.F.O at J & L Harley, talk about Hot Harley Nights. The 17th Annual Hot Harley Nights is this weekend and it's a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Dakota. Harley-Davidson riders from as far away as Europe have come to Sioux Falls to participate in past Hot Harley Nights.

The Ipso Gallery in Sioux Falls hosts a traveling art project this evening at Fresh Produce from 6-8 pm. The Trading Tortoise is a free event that celebrates art through the act of sharing. The Trading Tortoise is a traveling arts project created by Souther Salazar and Monica Choy with the goal of creating a unique community experience while exploring America through objects and stories. The scuptural installation, a large tortoise-shaped trading post, is set up at different stops throughout the nation. At each stop, community members are invited to bring an object, story, or creation and trade it for something special that's been found or traded along the way. Monica Choy talks about the Trading Tortoise and how it works.
