South Dakota State Senator Tim Rave of Baltic talks about the Republican National Convention. Rave, who serves as Chairman of the South Dakota Republican Party, is a delegate at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL. Rave is setting the scene for this week's events at the Tampa Times Forum where, later tonight, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is delivering the keynote address. Also, SDPB news producer Kealey Bultena talks about the Corps of Engineers meeting held last night. She reports on the Corps' public meeting held yesterday in Pierre. Bultena attended yesterday's meeting and spoke with several attendees.

Richard Barrington, a personal finance expert for MoneyRates, talks about the 10 States Where Youth Rules survey. South Dakota ranks number two and North Dakota number one in a MoneyRates.com list of 10 States Where Youth Rules, a study that compared a number of key factors across U.S. states to determine which ones offer the best conditions for young people. South Dakota earned the number two spot in the rankings resulting from strong marks in most categories, earning above-average scores in all but one measure (youth-oriented retailing).

Joel Tigner of Batworks in Rapid City discusses bat infestations. Tigner is a bat biologist and consultant. He discusses problems businesses and homeowners are having with the mammals of the order Chiroptera.
