Paul Guggenheimer talks with Nancy Iverson, the director and producer of "From the Badlands to Alcatraz." It is being showcased at the Black Hills Film Festival. The film documents the journey of five young Lakota from the Badlands to the Bay Area. During their endeavor they took on the challenge to swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco.

Co-executive producer of the festival Chris Van Ness discusses the inaugural BHFF. She talks about how it was established and what is taking place at the event.

Paul also talks with one of the producers of this year's Oscar winner for Best Documentary. Vicki Psihoyos shares her insight on "The Cove," and its showing at BHFF.

Finally, Suzanne Martley discusses the newly unveiled Power Act and its impact on South Dakota. She also talks about working for the governor of Alaska during the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
