Missouri River Management, SD Film Festival, and the film "From the Badlands To Alcatraz"

On this Dakota Midday, Paul Guggenheimer talks with Paul Johnston, chief of public affairs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The corps is holding a public meeting in Yankton next week to give South Dakota residents a chance to comment on how the Missouri River is managed.

Next, the co-producer of the South Dakota Film Festival Tom Black talks about why they are extending the submission deadline. Black also makes a big announcement as to which star will be present at the festival.

Later, Phil Schumacher of the National Weather Service talks about the most recent storm system to pass over the state.

Finally, Dr. Nancy Iverson, producer and director of the documentary "From the Badlands to Alcatraz" airing tonight on SDPB-TV. It tells the story of residents from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
