South Dakota Elementary Honors Choir

Elementary Honor Choir is a choir of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students who are chosen by recorded audition. Only teachers who are members of SDMEA may audition their students for the Honor Choir. A well-known clinician whose expertise lies in working with young voices is brought in that day to work with the selected choir. The chorus is held in conjunction with the SDMEA Conference held in Rapid City, or Sioux Falls in October or November of each year. A concert is given in the afternoon to conference attendees and parents
