On this edition of Statehouse lawmakers consider a measure that would increase fees and taxes on motor vehicles. The money would go to improving public highways. Also covered in the House Education Committee a bill that would prohibit schools from receiving school funding for the same student, twice. Members of the Senate continue discussing the states Retirment policy with Senator Tom Nelson addressing retire and rehire practices. The House of Representatives debate a measure known as the Good Samaritan bill. The measure was created to protect those who arrive first at an emergency scene. Speaker of the House Tim Rave as well as Rep. Todd Schleckeway both spoke in favor of the bill. Also tonight - defining what a trophy animal is and a possible fine for illegally shooting one.
