After steadily moving through the House of Representatives and the Senate, Governor Mike Rounds has signed five new bills into law. Four of the five bills revise the state's education system.
A bill that allows some extra money in a school's education fund to be used as funding for other areas within a school district was just one of the five measures recently signed by Governor Rounds. Additional education bills signed by the Governor deals with requirement changes for make up time in schools and the revision of statues within the Education Department.
House Bill 1049 was the only piece of legislation the Governor signed that wasn't education related. This bill revises the current qualifications for the director of the Division of Veterans Affairs.
