On this edition of Statehouse lawmakers vote on a measure that would give K-12 education a zero percent funding increase. Senator Dave Knudson introduced the bill on the Senate floor. Members of the Senate Commerce committee consider a measure that would change the unclaimed property law. If passed the bill would make South Dakota more appealing for Credit Card companies like Metabank who deal with pre-paid credit cards in setting up shop in the state. Representatives took up more bills regarding the sex offender registry and Senator Frank Kloucek tries to make Kolache's the official state pastry. Statehouse airs weeknights at 10:30 ct / 9:30 mt. It re-airs the following morning at 6:00am CT. For more information on this years session check out the STATEHOUSE section online at www.sdpb.org.
